AUGUST 1-31, 11 AM-3:30 PM: Cool down while learning
wild facts about water at the Children's Museum of Manhattan's
outdoor CITY SPLASH. There are boats to race, water wheels
to operate and waterpaints, among other marvelous moist
activities (don't go on a rainy day, though). Children's
Museum is located in The Tisch Building at 212 W. 83rd
Street in Manhattan.
AUGUST 8-11, 15-18, 22-25, 9 AM - 1 PM : Why not have
a SUMMER AQUATIC ADVENTURE at the New York Aquarium at
Coney Island? Every week features programs for all ages,
taking you behind the scene and into the deep.

AUGUST 14, 6 PM: Take your parents on a romantic sunset
cruise – to see
the amazing herons in New York Harbor. The New York City
Audubon is
offering SUNSET ECOTOURS on NY Water Taxis every other
Saturday in July,
for $20 a grownup head and $10 for kids under 12. The
ecotours leave
from the South Street Seaport and head either down past
the Statue of
Liberty to Hoffman and Swinburne Islands or up past the
Brooklyn Bridge
to the North and South Brother Islands. Grab your binoculars

AUGUST 20, 12 PM - 4 PM: The Magic School Bus will be
parked at the Main
Museum Shop of the American Museum of Natural History
today, which means
that performers who look alot like the characters you
might have seen in
books or on TV will be wandering around telling wacky
tales of adventure and science. The entrance of the museum
is on W. 79th Street just west of Central Park West.
AUGUST 20-21: It's another BUTTERFLY BLAST WEEKEND at
the Bronz Zoo in
honor of their new Butterfly Garden. There will be performers,
storytellers and scientists all celebrating those delicate,
beautiful
